Head of Household - Males <16 - Males >16 - Females - All Other Free Persons - Slaves
 

Each surname entry has six parts:

Name - Name of Head of Household

Number - The number of males over age 16

Number - The number of males under age 16

Number - The number of Females

Number - The number of Other Free Persons

Number - The number of slaves

EXAMPLE: Hamilton, Capt. John 3 4 2 ---- ----

Capt. John Hamilton is the head of the household. In that household, there are 3 males over the age of 16, 4 males under the age of 16, 2 females, no other free persons, and no slaves.
