James Jackson and Mary Susan Spivey The picture was made in the summer of 1900. The occasion for their being together was a family reunion. The house that you see was the Spivey (J.J.and Mary Susan) family home. In the area the people were looking toward was (beyond the yard) a roadway, a bit of space and then a railway paralleling the road. This picture shows a roof line almost like two houses built together, a "double house." Selman, TX 1929-30 This is a class picture when H.B. Spivey, Jr. was in first grade and the teacher was Mrs. Lula Stamps.
