I'm looking for John Collins, who probably died soon after Scott County,
Kentucky became a county. He may have been living with one of his children.
I don't know if Catherine was still with him when he moved to North Elkhorn
or how long he had been there.

Shortly thereafter Dabney and Unity Trice, her mother Unity Thomasson, and
her sister and brother, David and Patsey, migrated to that part of Hopkins

Nicholas
Streney married Mary Green on May 16, 1788 in Baltimore, Maryland. Nicholas
Straney is recorded in the 1790 census for Montgomery Co, Maryland and appears
in Bourbon County, Kentucky, between 1795 and 1800. He is in Scott County,
Kentucky by 1810 and probably died there before 1820. Mary Straney is the
head of household in 1820 and gone by 1830. I'm interested in knowing if
Nicholas and Mary are the parents of James H Straney(b. 1793/6, Md), who
settled in Bullitt County, Kentucky around 1820.
