Please email your
coordinators if you have any additional information regarding this
cemetery. The material contained on this page was derived from the
book "Wilderness Road Cemeteries in Kentucky, Tennessee and
Virginia" by Robert Foster Johnson for the West-Central Kentucky
Family Research Association, which holds the copyright to this
information. The book was published by McDowell Publications in
1981 and I was told by the Association's President that it still has a
very limited supply remaining. Please contact them if you wish
to purchase a copy of this book.
This cemetery is
located in Northern Jefferson County |
It is not certain when
this survey was taken, but going on the fact the book's copyright
was 1981, it must be assumed it was a time before that date.
The book states that the owner of the property where this cemetery
lies at this time belongs to a "R. E. Mason at 7060 Victoria
Avenue, on west side of street 30 ft. back from the
sidewalk. Approximately 35 graves. This is evidently
the old Rudy Graveyard, completely disintegrated." |
The author only listed the following 5
graves. He generally only listed the oldest graves at a site
in his book. |
Daniel Rudy, d. 20 Jun 1850 in his
75th year
|
Mary Rudy, wife of Daniel Rudy, d. 23
Jun 1852
|
Margaret G. Herr, wife of Richard S.
Herr, d. 11 Jan 1854 at 24 years
|
John G. Oldham, b. 1812, d. 1887
|
Catherine Ann Oldham, wife of J. G.
Oldham, b. 1814, d. 1904
