Dottie
Brentlinger spoke with Juanita Kincaid of the Middletown
Museum regarding this graveyard, as the Historic
Middletown, Inc. has been named sponsor of
the Long Run Cemetery. Mrs. Jack Kincaid
copied this listing from the museum records and presented
Dottie with a copy of the work done by this preservation
group. It is a concise, and only known such
listing to date, on this cemetery. Thankfully,
Dottie turned a copy over to your coordinator, with full
permission from the Museum board to post this information
on the Metro Louisville-Jefferson County KyGenWeb
site. It is hoped that it will be of assistance to
many of you researching your early ancestors. It is
placed here in it's entirety, with much gratitude to
Dottie, and the Middletown Museum for seeing that this
information is presented in public view for those
descendents of those buried in this cemetery who are not
able to travel to our fine Commonwealth. The
Historic Middletown Museum is located in the south wing of
Middletown City Hall, 12556 Shelbyville Road, (502)
254-4303, www.middletownchamber.com.
It is currently open 1-3 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Wednesday. Mrs. Kincaid said additional days were
being added soon, as more volunteers have been found to
staff the Museum. Free admission.
