John Wesley Martin, of Hydro, Ky., was born August 3, 1861, in Monroe county, Ky. He went into wedlock with Miss Susan Cole on January 1, 1891. To this union there were four children, as follows: Fannie, Boxley, Ewing, Bunney Mills and Samuel. Mrs. Susan Martin was born February 20, 1867. Bro. Martin did not profess any hope in Christ until the fall of 1908. He and his wife are both members of the Mt. Union Baptist Church, in Warren county.”

Sid Martin, of Hydro, Ky., was born in June, 1856. He is a son of Mr. Press and Mrs. Mariah Martin. Bro. Martin professed a hope in Christ in 1878, being 40 years ago, and joined the Mt. Union Baptist church, of which he is a strict member now. He went into wedlock with Miss Lizzie Wright. To this union there are 8 children, viz.: Edd, Will, Dock, Ora, Stella Huery, Sudie and Alston. Bro Martin is a prayer meeting leader of the church now and has been for 7 years. His wife died 18 years ago, leaving four small children; Bro.
