J. E. KULP
Was one of the young men who came to this county more than 30 years ago and with the exception of a few years spent in the state of Washington has lived here ever since. At one time he was a part owner of the HERALD and learned to set type and do other work in the office. He served five years as county clerk, was deputy postmaster for years and is now the popular secretary and treasurer of the Oberlin Mercantile Company. He is deservedly popular and has many friends in the county.
