Ira Kellogg

                    IRA KELLOGG

Along about the year 1878 Mr. Kellogg became anxious concerning the health of his wife; his physician advised going west and they finally landed in Oberlin. The change proved beneficial and Mrs. Kellogg has lived these thirty-one years with much better health than she could have had in Missouri. Mr. Kellogg was elected county treasurer in 1882, serving two terms and making a popular official. He is now trustee of Oberlin City. Mr. Kellogg has always been a good friend of the HERALD and taken it from the first issue and the management looks upon him as being one of its strongest supporters.
