George Gresser

            GEORGE GRESSER

The above picture will be recognized as George Gresser who was one of the homesteaders in this county 32 years ago. He was one of the half dozen bachelors who lived north of the city, others being O. E. Preston, W. A. Mount, J. W. Nicholson and W. F. Morris. They all wanted to get married. Gresser told a friend of his desire and the friend said he knew of a young lady in Missouri he thought would be just the one for him. Gresser wrote to the young lady and after a few months correspondence Gresser had given such glowing accounts of this new and wonderful country, the young lady was induced to come out and see for herself. She came and stayed and Gresser has never had occasion to be sorry for her coming. Gresser is living in the state of Washington and is said to be wealthy in that new country. He has taken the HERALD all these years and always pays for it.
