43. Ann Staunton HIGGINBOTHAM was born on 22 December 1773 in Amherst County, Virginia.23,26 She died before 1810 at the age of 37.

John and Ann were 1st cousins once removed. They moved to Georgia.

Ann was deceased when her unmarried brother Thomas wrote his will, 1834, in Amherst Co. He left a legacy to her children, mentioning she was late of Georgia.

Ann Staunton HIGGINBOTHAM and John Satterwhite HIGGINBOTHAM were married on 19 December 1792 in Amherst County, Virginia.7,14 John Satterwhite HIGGINBOTHAM14,44, son of Samuel HIGGINBOTHAM and Jane SATTERWHITE, was born about 1770 in Amherst County, Virginia.14

John had at least 13 children - 2 sons. Son John Green had a large family, some of his descendants eventually moved to Memphis TN. Nothing known about son David.

Daughter Mary S. Higginbotham is believed to be the Mary who married Jacob Brown on 15 Jul 1813 in Elbert Co. GA. Jacob died in a few years because Mary S. Brown married James Tate on 27 Jul 1819, still in Elbert Co GA.
