94. Jacob HIGGINBOTHAM Jr.11,44 was born on 6 July 1776 in Amherst County, Virginia.11,12 He served in the military at 10th & 20th Consolidated Regt, LA Militia in War of 1812.

Moved to Feliciana Parish LA circa 1810 and served in the War of 1812 from Louisiana. He served in the 10th & 20th Consolidated Regt, Louisiana Militia, along with cousins Lindsey and Willis.

About 1820 they moved to Lafayette Parish where he married for the second time and spent the remainder of his life. [this is an error - see 1820 & 1830 census below]

Jacob first married Sophia Higginbotham [lineage unknown - surname questionable] and (2) Marie Charlotte Forman, widow of Francois Huffpower, 5 Jan 1832.
