[1486] JOHN Sparling (circa 1817) married Martha Alley of William Street, Limerick at St Michael's on 31 July 1843. He was a farmer. He died in 1847, a farmer and contractor in New Street according to the Administration of his Estate. Limerick Chronicle, 30 Jan 1847: �This morning in New Street after a tedious illness which he bore with Christian fortitude, Mr John Spar ling�. [This is the type of notice inserted by the Methodist community]. He was buried in Adare, aged 30. Martha married again in 1851. A number of properties were let by her at the time of Griffiths Valuation (1850) in St Michael's Ward-in Ballingcarra Weston and in Crescent View. As he was buried at Adare, was he the eldest son of Big Christy [Ph F]? All other lines seem to have their full complement of Johns.
