Richard Parker Goodpasture (12 Sep 1851 - 20 Mar 1935) was the son of Abram & Elizabeth Smith Goodpasture. He married Sarah Ratliff (1855 - 1930) and they lived on a farm near Concord, Morgan County Illinois. Their children were born near Concord and attended White Oak Grove, a one room school house in Cracker's Bend. Richard's great grandparents, Abraham Goodpasture Jr. and Hannah Willard Goodpasture, came to Morgan County with their children (including Abram) from Overton County Tennessee in 1826. They are buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Clara Elsie Goodpasture (1887 - 1962) married John C. ginder (1885 - 1968). She graduated from Arenzville High School, Macomb Normal (now Western Illinois University). Clara taught school for some time. Her husband, John Cleveland Ginder, son of James & Sarrah McFadden Ginder was born west of Arcadia. John attended Valparaiso University in Indiana. They lived on a farm near Arcadia. They were the parents of 12 children. I remember my grandmother, Bertha Roena Kennedy Delaney, often taking me to visit her first cousin Clara and John when I was a small child. I had a grreat time with all the kittens they usually had around the property and in the barn. Clara was a great cook, as all the Goodpasture women were, and she always had a pleasant manner and smile. John and I would sit on the portch step of the small house and pet the kittens and talk - wonderful memories of hard workingindustrious people who were a part of the area around Arcadia, Cracker's Bend, String Town and Concord.

Floyd graduated from Chapin High School and taught school at the Jersey College one room school hosue which was located west of Arcadia and east of Cracker's Bend. While there, he met and married a former student, Bertha Mason, who was the daughter of Wall and Clara (Daniels) Mason. Floyd farmed and served in field artillery during WWI. They lived with his parents for a short time and then moved in 1928 to a 233 acre farm which was located 2 and one-half miles NE of Concord. The farm, which was purchased in 1924, was previously owned by an aunt, Mrs. Kate Goodpasture Rexroat (Mrs. Lewis Rexroat). Floyd served as Morgan County Bureau drector for five years, Director of Soil conservation for four years and for 20 years as the Agricultural Stablization and Conservation Service Committeeman.
