HARDIN BRANCH "heads on Henry Moore’s ranch, empties into the Leon at the new Jonesboro bridge. It was named for Mr. Hardin."--Doris LaRue Stapleton and Capt. C. E. Horton.

The "new Jonesboro bridge" was north of the current site of the bridge across the Leon River west of Jonesboro on HWY 36, which was re-routed to the south and a higher bridge was constructed at least by 1956.
