Hernando County Pioneers
These are the families that lived in Hernando County at the time of 1867 Florida State Census enumeration, with descendants currently still residing in Hernando County. This designation of Hernando Pioneers was arrived by the former Hernando County Historical Advisory Commission in 2007.
If you are the descendant of a Hernando County Pioneer and residing in Hernando County, please contact the County Coordinator with your ancestor's name, documented earliest known residence, and your name. It is not necessary for you to have your e-mail address available, but it would be helpful to other researchers.
Some Pioneers will have links to documents regarding them or their descendants.
