Grady Eiland, 65, of Bessemer, died March 2, 1985. He was a retired
employee and member of Second Baptist Church of Bessemer. He was a World War II veteran and a member
of Thorsby Masonic Lodge. Funeral was today at the church, with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens,
Brown Service Bessemer directing. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wilma Eiland; three sons, William
Eiland, Lipscomb, Joe Mac Eiland, Belton, S.C., and Donald Wayne Eiland, Bessemer; three daughters,
Mrs. Barbara Ann Deason, Centreville, Mrs. Peggy Sue Pickett, Wetumpka, and Miss Linda Faye Eiland,
Bessemer; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Mae Cox, Alabaster, and Mrs. Frances Downs and Mrs. Myrtle Conner,
both of Illinois, and five brothers, Cecil and Roy Eiland, both of Thorsby, Marion Eiland, Clanton,
