URBAN, Mary (John) of Thorndale. Age 81. Died 6/21/1960 (Sunday) in a Taylor hospital after an illness of 1 year. Services held (Tuesday) at St.Paul's Lutheran Church. Burial in church cemetery. Rev. Vernon M. Appel officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements.

She was BORN 6/10/1879 in Serbin to the late M/M. Andrew Miertschin. Lifelong member of above church. Married John Urban on 1/10/03. He preceded her in death in 1944.

SURVIVORS: 2 daughters, Mrs. Martin (Maggie Mae) Jenke of Thorndale and Mrs. D.E. (Laverne) McCord of Austin; 6 grandchildren, Melba Jenke Peterson, Jacquelyn Jackson Modessett, Ronny Jackson, Bryleen Kelly, Jimmy McCord and Mary Helen McCord; 1 great-grandchild, Carl Vanlandingham.
