Society of Genealogists : This is the bookstore site of SOG in the U.K. which offers numerous publications and guides on a broad range of subjects helpfull to those interested in family studies. It will connect you to the rest of their site.

Norman Ross Publishing Inc. Checklist for American Studies: NRP distributes microfilm documents to libraries throughout the world. Their lists give some idea of possible sources to be explored.

AAHGS : Journal of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society. Past editions on-line; includes very good resource information for family studies.

1492 Exhibit: Library of Congress exhibit with information on the Sibonney, Taino, and Carib Indians amongst other good detail.
History Today: On line version of the definitive historical publication. A good read.
Internet Library of Early Journals: Includes on-line versions of Gentleman's Magazine which can be searched. This is a continuing project to put these journals on-line.

Caribbean Surnames Index: submit your surnames by location, and find others researching them.
History of the Caribbean: Brown University, good content.

World Sugar History Newsletter : A must read for anyone who wishes to understand life in the colonial islands. Rich source for new publications, images, ethno-historical info, etc etc....published biannually. Past issues available on line.
The Barbados Sugar Museum: Interesting info on the machines used for production of Sugar...with a concentration on steam power.
DPLS Archive Slave Movement During the 18th and 19th Centuries : a good source for information on one of the most important topics of Carib-family studies.
The Story of Mary Prince, a West Indian Slave: information on her autobiography.

Seacoast NH Black History - Black Jacks : Although not directly relevent to the Carib, important for background on slave and free sailors of colour. A topic of great interest in the present academic communities.
