  2. Ibid, p44. Rev William Clancy moved his base from Silver Lake to Carbondale in 1832, and then left the area in 1834. Rev Henry Fitzsimmons arived in Carbondale in 1836, with Silver Lake and Friendsville as additional churches under his keeping, as well as missionary tours throughout the area. For many years St Rose would remain the lead church in NEPA.
