The Moore County Genealogical Society meets bimonthly at the Moore County Library in Carthage on the third Saturday of the months of January, March, May, July, September and November.

It meets at 10:30 am. Every November. The annual meeting is held for the election of new officers and directors.

September 16, 2017 - The next meeting of the Moore County Genealogical Society will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Moore County Library at 101 Saunders Street, Carthage. Our speaker this month will be Morgan Jackson, creator of www.MooreCountyWallaces.com and administrator of the Moore County, NC DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA. A native of Moore County, Jackson has been researching Moore County families for over 30 years. He specializes on upper Moore County genealogy and history, land grants, DNA and migration patterns Hope you will come and bring friends.
