Hi there!!

Thank you to Ed Schultz for bringing his projector to show The Accidental Army Dvd to our group! And thanks to those who brought the yummy treats!! We had a great turnout and enjoyed Janie Reiswig's report from her visit to the old country, too!!! This is one very motivated lady now!!!!

LEMOYNE MUELLER brought an old red, white and blue flag that was flown by her family when Czech Legionnaires arrived in San Diego August 18, 1919 as they went back to their new homeland Czechoslovakia. There were people dressed in folk costumes and cheered when these guys arrived on U.S. soil.

LEE LANGSTED asked if there are Czechoslovakia Censuses for the 1920's and 1930's. Can anyone help us out here?

New attendee KIMSEY FOWLER will be our speaker at our July 14th meeting. He has taken pictures of tombstones in the two main cemeteries in Prague that go waaaaay back and has documented them. If any of your relatives are buried in Prague, we will see if Kimsey has some information for you. He will also tell his story how he got into this project and what stage he is at now. So bring the name of your ancestor and the date he/she died!!!!!!!

SUSAN AND BROOKS REAGAN (please correct me if I have any names wrong, I should have written this up right after the meeting but I took off for Houston a couple days later and was rushed) came to see the DVD and share the beautiful book Susan (Zuzana) wrote about her family that left Prague because her father was affiliated with Benes. It took her nine years to write it. Zuzana shared a lovely kroj that comes from Piestany. This was JASON BOND's first meeting. I will send his research info in another email.

JULY 14TH---NEXT MEETING 9:30 AM TO NOON! SEE YOU THERE!

After that, August 11, 9:30 to Noon

Happy Researching,

Rosie
