Her name was Susan Rebecca Polley Henderson-Brooks (5/1/1835 - 3/21/1906), born in Brazoria County. She was the daughter of Joseph Henry Polley and Mary Augusta Bailey Polley. Susan first married Connally F. Henderson 8/3/1858. Connally was killed in the Civil War. She married (2nd) Josiah Diggs Brooks 2/2/1876. Susan and Josiah are buried in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery, Sutherland Springs, Texas.
