Brown deaths are listed and the birth of Simeon Theodore Harrison Newman, a nephew of President Benjamin Harrison, are but a sampling of the people in these books.

Each volume contains references to 5 Indian Nations, many foreign nations, and all the states. Volume including 1886-1890 received a 1st place award from the TSGS in 1992. Volume including 1890-1895 received a 1st place award from the TSGS in 1996.
