Raymond BinderU.S.Flag Raymond Carl Binder, 84, of Ralls, passed away Friday, December 23, 2004 in Ralls. He was born December 26, 1920 in Emma, Crosby County, Texas, to the late John Arthur and Martha Holzerland Binder. He was raised and attended school at Emma, then graduated from Ralls High School. He married Frankie Walker December 24, 1940 in Cleburne, Texas. He and Frankie are members of the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls where Raymond served as a Deacon.

He was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Army Signal Corps as a Tech Sergeant.

Raymond was a lifelong resident of Crosby County and was a retired farmer. He had served on the Crosby County Co-Op Fuel Board, the Owens Co-Op Gin Board and the PCCA Oil Mill Board. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Binder and Leon Binder, a sister Ruby Jean Gardner, and a grandson Michael Binder who passed away Sept. 29, 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie Binder of Ralls, a son and his wife, Randy and Sue Binder of Ralls, a grandson and his wife, Stacy and Dawn Binder of Ralls, a granddaughter, Michelle McClure of Levelland and 6 great grandsons.

Services for Raymond were held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Tim Mills officiating. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Serving as pallbearers were; Chad Harris, Steve Newton, Floyd Starkey, Jack Smith, Jimmy Moore and Eddie Verett. Serving as honorary pallbearers were; Bobby Harris, Billy Bob Wright, Bobby Binder, Dwight Roye and Norman Roye.
