This indenture made this 28 of February in the year of our Lord 1831 between Hannah Ray of the County of Marion and State of Tennessee of the one part and Aaron Wilson of the State and County aforesaid of the other, Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty dollars to the said Hannah in hand paid by the said Aron the said Hannah hath bargained and sold and by these pre- sents do bargain sell, alien remise and convey unto the said Aron a certain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Marion State of Tennessee on the Waters of Battle Creek containing twenty five acres more or less beginning at the Saw Oit on a conditional corner on a stake at Wilsons corner running east six poles thence north 58 east fifty poles to a con- ditional corner on a spanish oak and hickory thence eastwardly with said conditional line by a large poplar in the fork of a path and to the dry creek thence down said dry creek to Hayes line thence with said Hayes line to his walnut corner thence up the hollow to the beginning a conditional line, to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said Aron Wilson his heirs and assigns forever and the said Hannah Ray for herself her heirs executors administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said Aron Wilson his heirs assigns executors and administrators that the said bargained premises she warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all person or persons whatever pretending to claim or hold the same by virtue of a deed of conveyance from her the said Hannah her heirs or assigns. In witness whereof the said Hannah puts her hand and seal the day and date above written

State of Tennessee Marion County Court August Session 1832
Deed of conveyance from Hannah Ray to Aaron Wilson for twenty five acres of land was produced in open court and the execution thereof proved by the oaths of John H. Akin and Calup Wilson subscribing witnesses thereto who swear that they are acquainted with Hannah Ray and that they heard her acknowledge and saw her deliver it as her act and deed at the time it bears date, whereupon the said deed is ordered to be certified for registration.
