Know all men by these presents that Florentius Cox of the said Island Merchant do her Constitute & in my stead & place putt & depute Capta Savage of South Carolina Mariner to be my true & Attorney for me in my Name & to my Own proper U Require demand receive recover or sue for all & all m Payments sum or sums of money goods effects or O Whatsoever from any Person or Persons Whomeso dis- Bust & Pay Money on My Account & t act de in all My Affears & business as my Attorney Agen Other- Wise likewise to give make & sign (upon recovery of de Of money Whatsoever any Proper Acquittances Relei As Cause shall require & my said Attorney th with Full Power to make & substitue one or him my Said Attorney Ratifying Allowing Confirming What- Soever my said Attorney o Lawfully Act do or Cause to be done Concer be as good in Law as if I the above Named done the same in my One Proper Person In W the said Florentius Cox Have Hereunto sett my Twenty Seventh day of January One thousand S and forty Seven Florentius Cox Signed, Sealed & Delivered In the Presence of William Callvin Nathaniel Tucker South Carolina} Berkley County} Personally Appeared before me William Calvin One of the Witnesses to the Within In of Writing who Being duly Sworn Made Oath that he present & did see F Cox Sign Seal & as his Act & deed deliver the Uses & purposes therein Mentioned that he S as a Witness to the same & did also see Nathaniel T same.
