DEATH OF THOMAS McCARROLL
MEAFORD EXPRESS (1916) - The death on Sunday morning of Mr. Thos. McCarroll removed an old resident, who has been a prominent figure in the business life of Meaford for upwards of forty years. In the early eighties, he and the late A.W. Corley formed a partnership in the hardware business and five years later he entered the drug business, which store he conducted ever since. For the past few years, deceased was in failing health and of late was wholly incapacitated and was more or less confined to the house. He was also identified with the High and Public School Boards here from time to time, and rendered valuable assistance in the management of the education institution for many years. He also was a member of the Masonic Order and United Workmen since early in life and was a member of Christ Church.
