Obituaries from the Past
[also under "obituaries" in the menu]
A new page has been added that lists the names of people mentioned in the obits and now with select obituaries, the cemetery tombstone transcriptions have been included as well. The names include the deceased, some of their ancestors and descendants, relatives, friends, pallbearers, Doctors and Pastors.
All names can be easily browsed and are linked back to their respective obituaries. Currently, 165 obits have 1761 name-references. Names listed more than once are on more than one obituary page, which helps to define the relationships amongst the obituaries.

Note: E-mail addresses are coded in two ways (not the standard html method) to reduce spam as much as possible. Some have been done in JavaScript as are those in the query pages. Elsewhere, some are images that need to be keyed in manually, since they are not clickable to bring up your email program

The Grey County GenWeb is one of over 270 volunteer regional, county, district and parish sites in the Canada GenWeb.
The GenWeb welcomes people who have an interest in family history. If you would like to join an interesting community whose goal is to help keep genealogy free, please visit the provincial home page of the region that is of interest to you. There are a few sites currently awaiting adoption.
We would be glad if you were one of us.
