Danny Samuel Howie

Dan, 61, was born in Ft. Sumner, N.M. The youngest of two boys, to Howard and June Howie. He was raised in Del City, OK and graduated from Del City High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Delores Childers on May 1, 1970. He was a paint contractor, a general contractor, and he ran Del Paint Mfg. for several years and was a project manager and a coating and corrosion inspector for an engineering firm, EST. Dan LOVED his family! He loved to travel and go new places. He loved sports, especially OU football. He was the head softball coach for his daughter’s softball team for 11 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; his children, Rachel, Asa and Drew; three grandchildren, Maya, Hudson and Berkley and one brother, Guy Howie.

Funeral services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service on December 29, 2011 at Crossroads Church Chapel on S.E. 89th and Shields at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
