Edmond Historical Society Museum - Research Library / Genealogy Center

houses a research library which has over 5,000 books and periodicals, microfilm of the Edmond SUN and genealogical computer center among many other research materials.

Oklahoma Historical Society Newspaper Archives also has a copy.  Archives staff has also compiled an obituary index for the THE DAILY OKLAHOMAN for the years 1988-1991 and 1994.

R. L. Polk & Company - City Directories
A very helpful tool in locating your ancestors between census years and after the census that is currently available. City directories often provide additional information about individuals such as place of employment and name of spouse. Many of these directories are available at the Oklahoma Historical Society. List of Oklahoma Directories on Microfilm in the Microform Reading Room at the Library of Congress.
