Douglas Dale Spence, 83, born November 27, 1919, died July 25, 2003, in Oklahoma City, OK. Douglas was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where he attended Classen High School and Oklahoma City University. In 1966 he moved to Tulsa. He was a Veteran of WWII in the European and Pacific Theaters. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also was a member of Second Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City.

His wife, Louise Arnel Spence, preceded him death.

He is survived by: his brother, Donald B. Spence and wife, Dorothy; nephew and niece, Donald B. Spence, Jr. and Dana Spence; nephews and nieces, Harvey G. Newsom, Randy Newsom, Karen Briley and Tangee Courtney; and grandniece and nephew, Landon Spence and Denise Spence.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors..., Oklahoma City. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2003 at Kolb Cemetery.
