Katherine Hamilton Jackson Pittman, 84, of Bristow, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Born in Kenefic, Oklahoma on December 13, 1926, Katherine was the youngest of three children born to Edward Franklin and Ada Maray (Moore) Hamilton. She was untied in marriage to Kenneth Jackson in January 1944, in Durant, Oklahoma. To that union three children were born, two sons and a daughter.

The couple moved to Bristow in 1953 where Katherine worked for the city ob Bristow, first as a clerk in the Water Billing Department and later as a supervisor of that department for 26 years. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Business and Professional Women’s Club, a volunteer coordinator at the Rainbow Nursing Home, and a member of the Church of God. Her husband, Kenneth died in 1969.

She married Ervin Pittman in 1971. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Katherine is also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. She is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Jackson and his wife, Zaida of Bristow, OK, and Jerry Jackson and his wife, Beth of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Carol Jackson Cubbage and her husband, Bill of Cushing, OK; grandsons, Michael Jackson and his wife, Shirley of Phoenix, AZ, Kelly Jackson and his wife, Stephanie of Skiatook, OK, Ira Jackson of Warner, OK, and Jerry W. Jackson of Bristow, Brandon Jackson and his wife, Beki of Stillwater, OK, Shae Jackson Martin and her husband, Kyle of Edmond, OK, Andrew Cubbage of Cushing, OK, and Emily Cubbage Moore and her husband, J. of Cushing, OK; and eight great-grandchildren, Clinton Jackson, Nicole Clay, Eric Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Demi Jackson, Garrett Jackson, Gavin Jackson, and Katie Martin.

Funeral services will be at the Church of God, 320 W. Walnut, Bristow, OK, at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Interment will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens.
