Jeanne Ruth Carson, 68, 30 W. Marylynn, died Monday, Jan. 23 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Rev. Glen Hood officiating. Clifford Honea will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, directed by Owen Funeral Home.

She was born June 20, 1926 in Siloam Springs, Ark. To James and Dorothy Moore Martin.

She married Robert Clayton Carson in December, 1961 in Carson City, Nev.

She moved to Sapulpa 30 years ago from Susanville, Calif., and previously lived in Picayune, Miss., where she worked for an auto manufacturer, Wagoner Industries. She attended Dripping Springs Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Clayton Carson; a son Cliff Honea, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Wanda Jones, Reno, Nev.; two brothers, Haskell Jones, Grand Junction, Colo., and Orvil Jones, Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters Nadene Chastain, Sun City, Ariz., Neta Purvis, Bay St. Louis, Miss., and Bonnie Foster, Cedar Creek, Texas; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by tow brothers, Marvin and James Martin, and a grandson, Argle Lee Jones.

Honorary casket bearers are Argle Jones, Sr., Jason Jones, Arthur Purvis, Virgil D. Hutchins, Randy Johnson and Greg Johnson.

The family will headquarter at the family home at 30 W. Marylynn, Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy, husband, Robert Clayton Carson on July 31, 1994; two brothers, Marvin and Clyde Martin; sister, Stella Surrett; and a grandson, Argle Lee Jones.

Casket bearers are Argle Jones, Sr., Jason Jones, Arthur Purvis, Virgil D. Hutchins, Randy Johnson and Greg Johnson.

The family will headquarter at the family home at 30 W. Marylynn, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Owen funeral Home.
