HI: Wild story time. According to a deceased family reporter, a granddaughter of Leondius CHEATHAM of Meigs County, by his daughter, Kate, was Dr. Lizzie Cheatham who had an office in Columbus, OH. The reporter stated Kate had married a Walton so it would seem it should be Lizzie WALTON vs Cheatham. If indeed she was a doctor in Columbus (a quasi Dr. Quinn), where might I find some record of her? Making the story a bit more interesting is the claim that Dr. Lizzie married the actor Douglas FAIRBANKS, Sr. I can find no such union listed in any of the bios I have seen. Ready to chalk this up as a wild family claim, I recently received info that buried in Leondius's family plot in Middleport Hill Cem (Meigs Co.) is one Dr. Elizabeth Fairbanks! d. 1932. Would appeciate any suggestions/guidance. Many Thanks, M. McTeer

Jefferson Twp, Franklin County, OH is cited as the birthplace of Mary Ruth Kelso, b. 02 Dec 1833 to John KELSO and Huldah Caroline WHITEHEAD. They were married in 1827, I must assume in Franklin County.

Huldah WHITEHEAD was married to Elias OGDEN in June 1816. They had four children: Silas b. 15 Jan 1817 in Jefferson Twp, Franklin County
Andrew J b. 04 Dec 1817 in Franklin County
Paulina Elvira b. 14 Feb 1821 in Franklin County
Rosalinda Jane b. 01 April 1823 in Jefferson Twp, Franklin County, OH

Huldah KELSO and Mary Ruth SMITH ( married Eclas Smith 27 Feb 1851) migrated to Guthrie/ Dallas counties in Iowa. Huldah C. Kelso is buried in Prairie Center Cemetery, Dallas County, IA. Her tombstone lists her birth as 01 Sept 1797 and her death as 10 Apr 1883. I believe that both John KELSO and Eclas SMITH are buried somewhere in Franklin County, close to or in Jefferson Twp.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Searching for my grandfather Ernest Boone MICHEL. I'm looking for his birthplace which is said to be Mt. Sterling,Ohio but Madison County has no record of him being born there. We know he lived in Columbus in August, 1923 when my mother Anna was born and was married to Lillian I. Michel. He was listed as a 27 year old truck driver at the time. They lived on Bellows Ave. They later moved to Pennsylvania and he died there in Indiana County in 1949.

He had twin cousins Eldon and Weldon from Ohio. His father's name was George and his mother was Zelpha Ann Michel. Perhaps he was midwifed and no one followed up on the legal paperwork?
