Census research is one of the basic resources for genealogical research. This section of the site will add transcripts, extracts, and enhanced indexes as available. Cuyahoga County is fortunate to have two major census projects underway: The Greater Cleveland Genealogy Society's 1900 transcription project and the 1930 Enhanced Index project that is a cooperative effort of the Western Reserve Historical Society's volunteers and many of the genealogical groups in the region.
Listed below will be the various census schedules that exist for Cuyahoga County with links for those we have on the site or that exist elsewhere. Enhanced Index to the 1930 Cuyahoga County Ohio Census - This project is a cooperative effort of the Western Reserve Historical Society's volunteers and many of the genealogical groups of the region. right now this links directly to the ED Index with links to the first ED's up. In the near future there will be an introduction page explaining more about the census and the Enhanced Index project.

Lorraine "Sunny" Newsome, my co-coordinator, passed away recently. Shortly afterwards this site was attacked by a MALWARE. When it was discovered, the site was appropriately shut down by Rootsweb. Non-infected files have been uploaded but in the process some files were lost as they were ones Sunny had worked on and I did not have copies at all or have outdated copies. Please let me know about any missing or broken links. | |
