Point Pleasant Cemetery Road,
Monroe Township

084˚ 13.787 within 32 ft. 637 Elev.
Directions: Take St. Rt. 52 out of New Richmond east--
towards Village of Neville. You will know when you have
reached
Point Pleasant because it is
President Grant’s
birthplace. Turn left on St. Rt. 232. As soon as
you start to exit out of village --
on your left is Point Pleasant
Cemetery Road. Turn left and start climbing the blacktop- to
gravel – grass road. There is
ample space to turn around at
the top without getting stuck. No rough terrain, but a small
hill. This is a late summer-hard
ground-visiting time
cemetery.

I was a little disappointed that I was unable to find a
marker for
Lawrence Byrns, Revolutionary Soldier. I also had some
problems with matching footstones and could not find
a few other
stones. Its looks like some trees have fallen in the past
which have either buried the stones or destroyed
them. Nice
peaceful cemetery.
Stones I could not locate
previously found:
Staten, Eliza
Armacost, Alice
Byrns, Lawrence
Thompson, Mary (only found
footstone)
Thompson, Wilson (only found
footstone)
