Carthage, Sept. 7.--Mrs. Charlotte Brotherton Hubbard, 50, wife of Clinton F.
Hubbard, Martin street road, died after a long illness Monday at 1 a.m. in Carthage
hospital, where she had been a patient for ten weeks.
"Funeral services will be held at the Doyle funeral home Thursday afternoon
at 2, with rev. Robert E. Wright, pastor of the Woolworth Memorial Methodist
church, Great Bend, officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend cemetery.
"Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and evening.
"Surviving are her husband, four sons, Frederick, Munns Corners; Earl,
Barnes Corners; Vernon, at home, and Clinton Hubbard, Deferiet; one daughter,
Mrs. Norman (Viola) Souva, Fulton; 18 grandchildren; five brothers, Ralph Brotherton,
Lowville; Claude Brotherton, Rome; Leslie of Deferiet; Frederick Brotherton,
Oswego, and Arthur Brotherton, Martin street road; two sisters, Mrs. Charles
(Nellie) Martin, Fulton, and Mrs. Frank (Lucy) Usler, Steubenville, O.
"Mrs. Hubbard, a native of Emeryville, was born Dec. 23, 1903, daughter
of William and Bertha Elliott Brotherton. She was married to Clinton F. Hubbard
March 14, 1918, in the first Presbyterian church, Carthage. The couple spent
most of their married life in the town of Champion, where they operated a farm
on the Martin street road." She was buried in Great Bend cemetery, Great
Bend, Jefferson, NY. Charlotte Josephine "Lottie" Brotherton and
Clinton Frederick Hubbard were married on 14 Mar 1918 in Carthage, Jefferson,
NY. Clinton Frederick Hubbard (son of
Egar Hubbard and Jeannette Planck) was born on 5 Nov 1888 in Great Bend, Jefferson,
NY. He died on 23 Jan 1966 in Watertown, Jefferson, NY.

Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Clinton F. Hubbard Dead at 77. Carthage,
Jan. 24.--Clinton F. Hubbard, 77, retired farmer, Martin street road, died Sunday
evening at 6:30 in the Jefferson County hospital, Watertown, where he had been
a patient nine months.
"The funeral will be Friday afternoon at 2 at the McGraw funeral home,
Carthage, with Rev. Raymond Deitz, pastor of the Woolworth Memorial church, Great
Bend, officiating.
"The body will be placed in the Fairview vault for spring burial in Great
Bend cemetery.
"Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening.
"Mr. Hubbard is survived by four sons, Frederick, Fort Jackson; Earl,
North Lawrence, Route 1; Vernon, Martin street road, and Clinton, Oswego, Route
1; two daughters, Mrs. Mason (Emeline) Mosher, Watertown, and Mrs. Norman (Viola)
Souva, Fulton; 29 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
"Clinton Hubbard was born at Great Bend Nov. 5, 1888, a son of Egar and
Jeannette Planck Hubbard. He attended school at Deferiet and Great Bend and had
worked at the Great Bend bakery, St. Regis Paper company, Deferiet, and for the
town of Champion. Prior to his retirement he had operated his Martin street road
farm 30 years.
"He married Charlotte Brotherton March 14, 1918, at the Carthage First
Presbyterian church. She died Sept. 6, 1954." He was buried in Great Bend
cemetery, Great Bend, Jefferson, NY. Charlotte Josephine "Lottie"
