David W. Rice was born on 20 Feb 1956 in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. He died on 21 Apr 1990 in Watertown, Jefferson, NY. His obituary appeared on 23 Apr 1990 in the Watertown Daily Times, as follows: "David Rice, 34, Native Of Gouverneur, Dies. David W. Rice, 34, outer Washington Street, a native of Gouverneur, died Saturday evening at his home. He had been ill with cancer.
"A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in East Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur, with the Rev. Richard Trice, pastor of the Gouverneur Baptist Church, officiating.
"There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
"Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
"Surviving are his parents, Forrest D. and Beverly Rice, Town of Macomb; paternal grandfather, Lloyd Rice, Town of Macomb; three brothers, Bruce, Emerson and Bobby, all of the Town of Macomb; three sisters, Patsy Liscum, Columbus, Ga., Mary Rice and Jane Zeller, both of the Town of Macomb, and nieces and nephews.
"Born in Gouverneur on Feb. 20, 1956, a son of Forrest D. and Beverly Devendorf Rice, he attended Brasie Corners Elementary School and Gouverneur High School.
"Mr. Rice was employed by the Gouverneur Coop and later at Fort Drum. His last employment was with Upstate Building Services, Liverpool.
"Mr. Rice had resided on outer Washington Street since July 1989." He was buried in Riverside cemetery, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY.
