"MRS. LILLIAN CHASE. Mrs. Lillian Chase, widow of the late Menzo Chase, died Saturday evening, March 10 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl A. Alpaugh. She had been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Chase was born April 2, 1870 in Otego the daughter of Samuel B. Brooker and Laney (Spurbeck) Brooker. Part of her married life, she lived in Dorloo and was a member of the former Dorloo Baptist church, but for the past eighteen years she made her home with her daughter, where her husband died in 1939. Funeral services were held at the Ottman Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Charles M. Fulton of Richfield Springs officiating.
