  She was born in Oswego, a daughter of the late John and Susan Caulfield O'Geran, for many years residents of this city.  Her father was a plumbing contractor and a former trustee of St. Mary's church.  Miss O'Geran was educated in the Oswego schools and in convent schools in Canada.
  Miss O'Geran was very generous and active during the planning and construction of St. Mary's church.  She was a devoted communicant of that church all her life.  While her health permitted, she took an active interest in its societies.
  Surviving is a nephew, Graeme O'Geran, a member of Syracuse University faculty.  Her twin sisters, the Misses Agnes and Annie O'Geran, formerly members of the New York City public school system, died several years ago.
  Funeral services will be held at the Dain funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's church.  Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery.  Friends may call at the Dain funeral home Thursday and Friday between 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.

  Miss Mary L. O'Geran, retired member of the faculty of Oswego State Normal School, and active in educational work for nearly half a century, died Wednesday morning shortly after seven o'clock in the family residence, 72 West Oneida Street.  An illness of several weeks preceeded her death.  Miss O'Geran's condition became critical several days ago.
  Miss O'Geran was a daughter of John O'Geran and Susan O'Geran, prominent in their lifetimes in the affairs of Oswego.  Her father was a plumbing contractor.  The O'Geran home was a center of family affection and mutual cooperation, and its friendliness and hospitality had a wide radius.  Miss Mary O'Geran, from early youth, showed a disposition toward scholastic life, and she was encouraged in this ambition by her parents.  She attended the Oswego public schools and was graduated from the Oswego State Normal school.  Her teaching career was commenced in the schools of Oswego, where she remained several years before being appointed to the faculty of her alma mater, the Normal.  She was assigned to the Practise department of that school and had supervision of teacher training of thousands of young men and women, who have since become instructors of youth throughout the land.  For over twenty years Miss O'Geran was principal of the Junior department, later being promoted to the Industrial Arts department.  To supplement her teaching qualifications, Miss O'Geran pursued special courses in Teacher's College, Columbia University, and other institutions during summer months, thus keeping ever abreast of developments in her particular lines and in the broader field of education.  Miss O'Geran was an inspiration to those who came under her instruction.  They will keep her in kindly remembrance.
  Despite her exacting duties at the Normal, Miss O'Geran found time to engage in the literary, educational, social and religious life of the city.  She affiliated with organizations for promotion of cultural activity.  She was gifted with an understanding of relative vaulues in educational development and was able to transmit her own knowledge to those under her charge.  Her counsel was sought by many students and her sympathetic understanding was expressed in salutary advice that bridged many a difficulty for perplexed young people.
  Miss O'Geran was a devout communicant of St. Mary's church, of which her parents were among the early members.  Since her retirement from the Normal faculty Miss O'Geran has led a retired life.  Surviving are the Misses Alice M., Agnes J. and Annie S. O'Geran and one brother Charles J. O'Geran.

  Funeral of Miss Mary L. O'Geran, former member of Oswego State Normal school faculty, was held from the family home, 72 West Oneida street, Friday morning at 10 o'clock and at St. Mary's church at 10:30 o'clock where a high mass of requiem was celebrated by the Rev. Robert M. Reddy.  The respect and esteem in which MIss O'Geran was held in her life time was evidenced by the many floral tributes which filled the rooms at the home and by the large attendance of friends at the church among whom were the members of the faculty of Oswego State Normal and also former students of the school.
  Pietro Yons funeral mass was rendered by the male quartet and at the offertory.  Domini Jesus Christi was sung.  The bearers were John M. Gill, James H. Mackin, Wallace A. Dougherty, William S. Doyle, John S. Parsons, Preston Newell.
  Interment was made in the O'Geran family plot at St. Paul's cemetery where committal service was held by Father Reddy.

   Miss Agnes Josephine O'Geran died at the family home, 72 West Oneida St. this morning.  She had been in ill health for some time.
  Born in Oswego, a daughter of the late John and Susan Caulfield O'Geran, prominent residents here for many years.  She was educated in the schools of this city and was a graduated registered nurse of New York Hospital.  She had been engaged in the practise of her profession in New York city and vicinity for a number of years and for some time had been retired.
  Surviving Miss O'Geran are two sisters, Miss Alice M. O'Geran, and her twin sister, Miss Annie S. O'Geran, Oswego and one nephew, Graeme E. O'Geran, member of the faculty of Syracuse University.
  Funeral will be held at the family home, 72 West Oneida St. Tuesday morning at 9:30 and in St. Mary's church at 10 o'clock.  Burial will be in St. Paul's cemetery.
