The May 15, 1898 baptism certificate ´Taufschein´ of Martin Charles Schake with witnesses ´Taufzeugen´, Ottermann and Charles Ritter. Note that his father´s name is spelled as Adolph Schacke. Certificates similar to these, most in German, were issued to document school and church milestones such as graduation or participation in activities for both Martin and Flora Schake.
