Died: Jan 3, 1871, age 23 yrs, 7 mos, 5 days.
Captain Gilbert Richard Currier, son of Thomas Currier and Mariah B. Jordan,
was born 24 December 1835 in Sedgwick. He died 27 January 1885, in Sedgwick of
tuberculosis. He was married about 1870 (1) to Mary Volusia Hooper, daughter of Kitridge and
Mary Hooper. Mary was born 28 May 1850 in Sedgwick and died of tuberculosis on 3 January 1874.
Mary and Gilbert Richard had no children.
Gilbert Richard was married (2) 25 November 1880 to Isadora Amelia Sawyer, the daughter of
Abel Sawyer and Martha Brown. Dora was born 13 November 1850 in Sedwick and died
21 June 1942 in Sargentville.
Gilbert Richard and Dora had one child, a daughter, Martha Maria Currier, whom
they named for her two grandmothers.
