GENERAL INFORMATION

      The ADAIR COUNTY REVIEW, a quarterly publication of the Adair County Genealogical
Society, is received by all members of the Society. It is published in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Members who join during the fiscal year will receive the past issues of that year, Spring being the first issue of the year.
        Membership is open to anyone interested in the preservation of history of Adair County and the surrounding counties of Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor. Annual dues are $15.  Meetings are held the first Monday in each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Adair County Public Library,  307 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY 42728.

        Contributions of material for publication are requested. Members and friends are asked to submit material. Please send only copies as this material will become the property of the Society and will be placed in the Adair County Library's Genealogy Department. Submissions needed include Bible records, family genealogies, family group sheets, will and administration records, military papers, cemetery reports, stories and any other data that may be of interest to researchers. Please limit the materials to no more than three pages' Those who submit data will receive credit upon publication. Materials that meet with Society approval will be printed as space permits.
        Queries will not be limited to members and are printed as space permits. There is no limit to the number of queries submitted nor the length, but should be no longer than about 50 words per query, excluding the name and address. Please include email address, if applicable.
        Book reviews will appear in the Review from time to time. The Society asks that a copy of the book be forwarded to the Society with the following information: cost (including postage), information on ordering and any other pertinent information. The review copy will become the property of the Society and will be placed in the Adair County Public Library's Genealogy Department as are all Society materials.

The Society does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of submitted materials. Errors and misconceptions will be corrected when brought to our attention.
