ANDERSEN - Sandra Lee (nee Comba). We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother Sandra Lee Andersen on April 7, 2013. Sandra lived a full and joyful life that was ended by a short battle with cancer. Sandra is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters Teri-Lin Hibbert (Scott), Tracy Dakis and Tricia Andersen. Sandra's greatest joys were her grandchildren, Jordan and Carter Hibbert, Asyalee and Grayson Dakis and Ava Andersen. Sandra is also survived by her siblings Maureen Tittemore, Linda (Dave) Comba, Robert (Barb) Comba, Pat (Valerie) Comba and her Stepfather Palmer Unseth. Sandra was predeceased by her mother Theresa Unseth and father Miner Comba, brother Merle (Eileen) Comba, sister Collene Woolsey. Sandra was born in Craik, Sk on August 28, 1944. She grew up in Liberty, Sk. Sandra attended Teacher's College in Regina and then started her career and family in Young, Sk. Sandra educated many children from Young to Holdfast to Unity and then finally retiring after 25 years of teaching in Eston, Sk. Sandra was heavily involved in every community she joined. Sandra was honoured as Eston's Citizen of the Year in 2003 for her extensive volunteer hours and contributions. Sandra moved back to Regina in 2005, where she passed the time thoroughly enjoying her grandchildren. In an expression of sympathy, a donation of children's books will be collected at the service and donated in Mom's name to a local school. Service will be held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK, Friday, April 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. BABCOCK - Horace Everett Bill Babcock, aged 88 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2006. Bill was born on December 30, 1917 in Melfort. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Eda Babcock, a daughter Audrey Colleen in 1956, seven sisters and three brothers. Bill attended Carrot River and Melfort schools. He worked for General Motors in St. Catherines, Ontario, returning to Saskatchewan to join the South Saskatchewan Regiment. He served 4 years in WWII. Bill was wounded in France and returned to Canada. He later worked for Sask Wheat Pool for 32 years building elevators and annexes. In 1964, he became supervisor of repair in the Moose Jaw district. Bill leaves to mourn his wife of 52 years, Shirley and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in Parkview Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw with Major Don Law officiating. Burial will take place in Liberty Cemetery. Legion rites will be conducted by Gordon Martell of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 59. BEATON - Claude Norman. On Wednesday Dec. 6, 2000, Claude Norman Beaton of Liberty, SK passed away at the age of 80 years. The Funeral Service will be held in Liberty Community Hall on Monday Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Beaton was predeceased by his two sons George and Larry, grandson Darcy, brother Welland, parents, Norman and Ruby (Gilmore) and a step father Harry Howell. He is survived by his wife Hazel, one son Gerald (Shirley) Beaton, and 5 daughters, Faye (Don) Anderson, Donna (Earl) Baht, Linda (Allan) Van damme, Bonnie Beaton (Daryl Poitras), Cyndy Beaton; daughter in law Donna Beaton, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and by a sister Mrs. Winifred Baird. BEATON - Hazel Olive Beaton, aged 85 years, of Liberty, SK passed away at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility, Imperial, SK on Thursday Dec. 21, 2006. Hazel was born Sept 2, 1921 in Liberty SK to George & Julia Docken. She was the oldest of 3 children. Hazel took all of her schooling & graduated in Liberty. Hazel married Claude Beaton on Mar. 21, 1941. They settled on the farm on the east side of Liberty. Here they raised their family of 8, who kept them very busy with all kinds of activities such as hockey, skating, swimming, piano, Sunday School, CGIT to name a few. Hazel was a loving, kind hardworking, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother & friend. She enjoyed cooking & baking which she did with a real passion. Family & friends always enjoyed the great smells & succulent food that came from her kitchen. With 8 children & sometimes 6 hired men, cooking was no small task, it was a full time job. Hazel always found time to be active in her community, serving many years on the Liberty Hall Board & local rink board. She was an active & life long member of the United Church & U.C.W. In 1975, Claude & Hazel moved into their new home in Liberty. With retirement on their minds, they began travelling. They travelled extensively throughout Canada & U.S.A looking for their ideal winter retirement location. They spent some time in Florida, Texas, Hawaii & California before eventually settling in Mesa, Arizona for 35 years as Winter Snowbirds! They also travelled to Mexico, Alaska & took a Caribbean Cruise. Hazel enjoyed her retirement years. She also enjoyed dancing & entertaining in her home. She was an avid bingo player & loved the bright lights of the Casino especially trying to beat the one armed bandits. She enjoyed her Card games with friends, crosswords & word search. Hazel enjoyed all the special events in her life such as: weddings, special anniversaries, births, grads & family reunions. Claude & Hazel enjoyed 59 years together. Hazel's greatest love was her family. In her later years, spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren gave her great pleasure. They were the apple of her eye & her pride and joy. It brought her peace and happiness, her biggest & brightest smiles came when those children walked through her door. In Dec.2004, she became a resident of the Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility in Imperial. She enjoyed the company of family, friends, residents & staff who visited her in her new home. She enjoyed her day trips out of the facility in the sunshine, drives in the country, meals at the lake in July with family of course her weekly/monthly visits to the Regina Casino where she could visit old friends, with her last trip there on Nov. 17/06. Hazel was predeceased by her parents: George & Julia, her husband Claude (2000), sons: George & Larry, son in law Alan VanDamme, grandson Darcy Anderson, brother Gordon Docken & infant great grand daughter Cacia Baht. Hazel is survived by her loving family: son Gerald (Shirley), daughters: Faye (Don) Anderson, Donna (Earl) Baht, Linda VanDamme, Bonnie Beaton (Darrell Poitras), Cyndy Beaton & daughter in law Donna Beaton, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, sister June Esaw, brothers in law: John Esaw & Harold Baird, sisters in law Joyce Docken & Winnifred Baird as well as numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Hazel affected many lives & she will be missed very much by all who knew her. BRIGHTWELL - Marjorie Belle. The death of Marjorie Belle Brightwell aged 81 years formerly of the Liberty district, occurred at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB on Friday, November 8th, 2002. A Graveside Service will take place in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, SK on Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Tea will follow in the Liberty Memorial Hall at 2:30 p.m. BUSCHE - Delmar Thomas Busche aged 83 years of Regina, SK. and formerly of the Liberty District passed away peacefully at the Pioneer Village Care Home in Regina on Friday May 10, 2002. The Funeral Service will be held in Bethel United Church Libery, SK. on Tuesday May 14, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Marilyn Keerak. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery. BUSCHE - Leona (nee McCrea) passed away peacefully into the evening surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the age 88. She was predeceased by her husband Delmar in 2002 and her grandson Max in 1990. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Connie (Don), son Lyn, grandchildren Michael (Lisa) and Jileon as well as her three sisters (Evelyn, Mildred, Ella) and numerous other family and friends. A funeral service to celebrate Leona's life will be held Friday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in Liberty United Church with lunch to follow at the Liberty Hall. BUSCHE - Lyn Del. It's with great sadness and after a brave battle with cancer that we announce the passing of Lyn Busche, Monday December 29, 2008 at Grace Hospice, Regina, Saskatchewan. He is predeceased by his parents Del and Leona Busche and his nephew Max Saelhof. A celebration of Lyn's life will take place Friday January 2, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Liberty Memorial Hall. Lyn was a genuine cowboy who was always true to himself. He was always noticeable in his cowboy hat and unique western style which set him apart. He loved animals, farming, and driving truck. He had a passion for horse racing, farmers markets, truck stops, and could always find a bargain. He was a member of the Liberty Optimist Club and Liberty Service Club. He was a real individual whose kind and loving nature meant he would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He will be missed by his sister Connie, brother in-law Don, nephew Mike, niece Jil, step-daughters Robynn and Andrea and grandchildren William, Kendra, Trista, Macintosh and many friends. COMBA - Eileen Rhoda (nee Jones) of Liberty, Sk. passed away on November 2, 2011 at the age of 82 after suffering with Alzheimer's for a number of years. She was born in Dinsmore, Sk on June 29, 1929. She was predeceased by her husband Merrill in 2008, father, Fred Jones, brother-in-law Jim Tittemore, sister-in-laws, Collene Woolsey and Joyce Jones. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Gord) MacMurchy, Brenda (Glen) Measner. Grandchildren, Todd (Kari) MacMurchy, Tyler (Heather) MacMurchy, Stacey and Mike Measner. Greatgrandchildren, Ella & Landyn, Logan and Sawyer, her brother Walter Jones and sisters-in-law, Maureen Tittemore, Sandra Andersen, Linda (Dave) Comba, brothers-in-law Robert (Barb) and Pat (Valerie) Comba and nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom moved to Liberty to start her working career, which is how she met Dad who she was married to for 58 years. She is best remembered as operating the local switchboard in her home for over 25 years. Upon retiring from the telephones, she worked at Liberty Hotel for many years, serving up delicious meals to many. Mom & Dad then started up and operated Liberty Greenhouses till 2007. Dad & Mom travelled extensively throughout Canada with their trailer, making many friends along the way. Mom was a warm, friendly and giving woman who always had time for all, especially her family. Cremation has taken place and Memorial service with be at a later date. Our sincere thanks to the Dr's. and staff for the superior care given to Mom while she was a resident there. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure COMBA - Merrill Minor, aged 79 years, of Liberty, SK passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2008. He was predeceased by his parents Minor and Jean, sister Colleen, brother-in-law Jim Tittemore, stepmother Terry. Merrill is survived by his loving wife Eileen; daughters Carol (Gord) MacMurchy, Brenda (Glen) Measner; grandchildren Todd (Kari), Tyler (Heather), Stacey, Mike (Jody); great-granddaughter Ella; sisters Maureen Tittemore, Sandra Andersen, Linda (Dave) Comba; brothers Robert (Barb) and Pat (Valerie) Comba; brother-in-law Wally (Joyce) Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Merrill was very active in the community, had a big personality and a great love for life. He worked hard at many jobs including driving School bus, Liberty Hotel bartender and owner of Liberty Greenhouses. The Memorial Service will be held in the Liberty Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Meredith officiating. COWARD - Mabel Irene Coward age 94 of Moose Jaw, passed away suddenly on September 13, 2002. Born at Liberty, SK, Mabel attended Normal School in Moose Jaw and taught school until she met and married Ralph Coward. She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph; son, Dennis and daughter, Gladys. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie - Penticton; son, Bill - Weyburn; as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, corner of Thatcher Drive and Mulberry Lane, on Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at 1:30 pm. Reg McKee will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later date. DORNIAN - Jean (September 5, 1926 - November 12, 2013). Jean, late of Liberty, SK passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband John Dornian. Jean is survived by her son James Dornian (Octavie Nienkirk) and grandchildren, Tony, Chelsa, Clayton and Amber; her daughter June (Gordon) Shields and grandchildren Jason Shields (Tangy), Tammy (Dean) Myers and Tina Shields (Matt); great-grandchildren, Tanner, Summer and Kohl Shields, Keanna, Anakin, Drake and Brooke Myers, and Douce-Jean Shields DORNIAN - John Dornian was born June 26, 1922 and passed away peacefully at age 85 on September 17, 2007, at Imperial, Sk. Predeceased by his parents Steve and Flora Dornian, sister Kathleen Blair and brother Paul. John is survived by his loving wife Jean, married sixty-one years and two children. His son James and partner Octavie Nienkirk. Grandchildren Tony Dornian, Chelsa Dornian, Clayton Dornian and Amber Nienkirk. His daughter June and husband Gordon Shields. Grandchildren Jason and Tangeline Shields and greatgrandchildren, Tanner, Summer and Kohl. Tamara and Dean Myers and greatgrandchildren, Keanna, Anakin, Drake and Brooke. Tina Shields and greatgranddaughter Doucie-Jean. Four sisters Mary Wolff, Rose Mooney, Madeline Kaminski, and Helen Wolff, three brothers Arthur, Steve, and George, and numerous nieces and nephews. John served overseas in the Canadian Army in WWII. He was with the 2nd Battalion South Saskatchewan Regiment during the liberation of Holland. After his return to England he met Jean and they were married March 30, 1946, in Manchester, England. He returned to Canada in July 1946 and Jean followed in September. They lived on a farm near Outram and then moved to Estevan, Sk. in 1948 and resided there until 1988 and then moved to Liberty, Sk. where Jean still resides. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Liberty Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 29th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. DRIMMIE - Olive Jean (nee Wheeler) passed away on May 20th, 2010 at the Watrous Hospital. At 85 years of age, Olive has been a resident of the LLVIF spending weekends at home in Liberty with her beloved husband, Ivan with whom she had been married for 56 years. Olive and Ivan were married in Scarborough, Ontario in 1953 and moved to Saskatchewan shortly after where they took up farming west of Liberty. They kept close ties with their families and loved farm life. Olive enjoyed her gardens and especially loved supporting everyone's life adventures and achievements. Olive leaves to mourn, her husband Ivan Drimmie; her daughter Terry; sons Randy (Arlene) and Kelvin (Connie); and granddaughters Amber and Sarah; her sisters Bessie McGill and Irene Cantwell; sisters-in-law Mary, Rose and Eleanor Wheeler; brother-in-law Roy Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews. Olive was predeceased by her parents, Christopher and Jean Wheeler; her sisters Marjorie Hudson and Mabel Wheeler; her brothers Frank, Jim (Mary), Edward (Rose) and Munroe (Eleanor) Wheeler; and brother-inlaw Jim Cantwell. The Funeral Service will be held in the Liberty Memorial Hall on Wednesday, May 26th at 2:00 pm. ELL - Bernadette Kathleen Ell (nee Wolff) passed away at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility (L. L. V. I. F.) in Imperial on Wed. Aug. 18, 2004, at the age of 86, after a lengthy illness. With courage and dignity Bernie leaves our lives to join her loved ones in heaven. She is predeceased by her parents Fred and Amelia Wolff, her sisters Gertrude and Theresa, her daughter Rita, and grandchildren Michael and Taylor Barter. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Charlie Ell, her daughters Sharon (Peter) Birck and her children Ashley and Lindsay, Joan (Peter) Hall, Judy (Jim) Brennaman, and son Marc (Donna) and their children Johnathan and Andrea. Bernadette was born on her parent's farm at Liberty on March 17, 1918. She often spoke of many happy memories of her childhood days on the farm with family and neighbours. After finishing her grade 10 in Liberty she completed her High School education at Holy Rosary Academy in Regina. Bernadette's first employment was with RM 251 in Stalwart with Willis Cole as administrator. Her next employment was with the Royal Bank at Liberty. When her parents moved off the farm to Regina, Bernie moved with them to help care for her father and accepted a job as steno-typist with Imperial Oil in Regina. In 1946 she married the love of her life Charlie Ell in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They lived there for a year and then Charlie was transferred to Regina. In 1948 Charlie and Bernie decided to try their hand at farming and moved onto Bernie's parents farm at Liberty. Here they lived for 40 years farming, entertaining family and neighbours and raising their family of four girls and one boy Sharon, Joan, Judy, Rita and Marc. In 1987 Bernie and Charlie retired into a home in Liberty. Bernadette was an excellent cook and seamstress and lovingly made many of her daughters clothes. Some of her other talents included art, ceramics, knitting, cross stitch, crossword puzzles and she particularly loved a good game of cards with family and neighbours. She spoke fondly about the many travelling adventures she and Charlie took over the years. She enjoyed reading, loved to dance, and listen to music played by her husband, the Liberty Orchestra and her family. Bernie contributed many volunteer hours teaching catechism, tending to the church linens, and was an active member on the Alter Society, Ladies Auxiliary and the Liberty Seniors club. We will long remember Bernie's happy disposition, and her kind and gracious nature. Our thank to the nursing staff, administration and Dr. Swart at L. L. V. I. F. for their wonderful care during the past three months. May God bless you all! Flowers are gratefully declined. ELL - Charles James Ell passed away peacefully at the home of his son, Marc Ell, surrounded by loved ones and music on March 1, 2012 at the age of 94. Charlie was born May 15, 1917 on the family farm at Dilke, SK. to Harry and Philipena (Schmidt) Ell. He was the third child in a family of nine children. Charles is predeceased by his wife, Bernadette (Wolff); his father and mother Henry and Philipena Ell of Dilke, SK; his daughter, Rita Ell, two grandsons, Taylor and Michael Barter; brothers Alphonse, Albert, John and Joe Ell and sisters Barbara Embry, Emelia Ell and Anne McLean. Charlie is survived by his brother, Fred (Julia) Ell of Regina, SK.; his three daughters, Sharon (Peter)Birek of Toronto, ON; Joan (Peter) Hall of Calgary, AB; Judy (Jim) Brenneman of Langley, BC; his son, Marc (Donna) Ell of Regina, SK; and four grandchildren, Ashley (Robert) Rice, Lindsay Aitken, Johnathan and Andrea Ell. He will be dearly missed by Mary June (Al) Alto, Michael (Debbie) McKinney, Lance (Gail) McKinney, Dan McKinney and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many wonderful and caring friends and neighbours whose contribution to his care and quality of life were invaluable to him in his final years. Typical of his era, Charlie left school after grade 8 to help on the family farm but this limited education did not stop him from helping his children with high school physics, chemistry or math. He simply read the school textbooks and provided the answers. There was nothing he could not build from rock pickers to a state-oftheart kitchen to a pool table that all friends and family enjoyed. He was always available to his neighbors and his community to assist with numerous volunteer projects such as raising money for the church, community or school. Charlie enlisted in the Armed Forces in WW II and spent four years in England. By a stroke of good fortune, while jamming with his army buddies, his CEO was so impressed with his musical talents that he was removed from active military missions to an office job so that he could play in the Armed Forces Dance Band. His CEO felt that this was a better use of his talents even though he was a great shot with the rifle. Charlie married the love of his life Bernadette on October 25, 1946 and the happy couple took over the Fred Wolff farm at Liberty, SK. in 1948. Charlie enjoyed many happy years as an active farmer and continued to be a valuable farm consultant to his son, Marc, until his dying day. A farmer by trade, Charlie was a musician at heart and his music could be heard all over the surrounding communities of Liberty, SK. As the longest member to play in the Liberty Orchestra Charlie could play many instruments from saxophone to clarinet to bass guitar. He loved jamming with his friends and cherished playing with his grandchildren, Johnathan and Andrea Ell. He was a voracious reader who lived a thoughtful and examined life and enjoyed a quiet environment and his independence to the end. Charlie's celebration of life services will be held at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Imperial, SK. The prayer service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 7:30 PM and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Lunch will be prepared by the Imperial Altar Society immediately following the funeral service. A private family internment in Wolffton Cemetery will follow the lunch. Anyone willing can make a contribution in the form of a compliment towards another as Charlie believed in expressing gratitude or appreciation without waiting until it is too late. FEDERSPIEL - Bernice Louise (nee Thresher) was born October 21, 1927 to Bert and Minnie Thresher in Stalwart, Sask. She grew up on the family farm, 1 mile north and 2 miles west of Stalwart, with her sisters Hazel and Grace, and her brother George. Bernice attended Stalwart School and being the eldest was in charge of driving her siblings to school with the horse and cart. After Grade 12 she stayed at home, continued to help on the farm, and worked in the Stalwart store run by Marj and Earl Federspiel. Russ and Bernice were married May 29, 1950. They raised 7 children. Bernice's large 4' x 8' kitchen table has fed and entertained many folks over the years. Bernice was known for her large jars of milk, great cow's cream, and homemade ice cream. Bernice always grew a large garden, putting up many jars of pickles and tomatoes over the years. She was also noted for her angel food cakes served at numerous family celebrations, and jars of pickled eggs sent to hunting camp. Bernice loved to curl in the days of the Stalwart Curling Club and also enjoyed participating in the cribbage tournaments at Liberty. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her and she always cherished their visits. Bernice, age 83 years, passed away at the Regina General Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell, in 1994; her parents, Bert and Minnie Thresher; sisters, Hazel Hahn and Grace Nelson; sons, Harvey and Bert. Bernice is lovingly remembered by sons Melvin (Glenda), Norman, Guy, Stanley (Yvette); daughter Sharon; daughter-in-law Sharon; grandchildren Sean (Mona), Brad (Shelley), Brett, Angela (Dan), Jason (Tracy), Courtney, Adam, Chelsea, Melissa, Mark, and Vanessa (Quinn); great-grandchildren Eliza, Adria, Layla, Chloe, Trinity, Avery, Kaitlynn, Breanna; brother George Thresher; brothers-in-law Donald Hahn, John Nelson; and numerous nieces and nephews. FEDERSPIEL - Harvey, August 28, 1953 - April 27, 2010. Harvey Federspiel of Stalwart, Sask, aged 56 years, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 27th 2010. Surviving are his children, daughter, Donna Mae Shanofer (Jerry) of Dundurn, SK, son, Larry Allan Fields (Elfrieda) of Saskatoon, SK; granddaughter, Angela Shanofer (Dave Quance) of Saskatoon, SK; and his sister, Lois Leedahl (Wilf) of Saskatoon, SK; Claire Fields of Osoyoos, BC; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine; his parents, Jay and Olive Fields; his brothers, Cecil, Ross, and Lavern, and his sister, Grace. Dad was born April 25, 1915 on his parents homestead in the Liberty district, Saskatchewan. He served with the RCAF during World War II as a wireless mechanic. He was honourably discharged in Regina on October 18, 1945. On June 16, 1948 he married Geraldine Rowat and they had 54 wonderful years together. His working career included 23 years with Eaton's as a radio/ television technician, five years at Allan Potash and five years at Gulf Minerals (later called Cameco) as an instrumentation technician. He retired in 1980. He was an avid golfer, obtaining a hole in one at Saskatoon Golf and Country Club. He played golf there for 35 years and became an Honorary Life Member. Al also enjoyed lawn bowling, curling and five pin bowling, gathering many plaques and trophies. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge about the early years and hard times as a member of the Western Development Museum's Boomtown Volunteers. Many children and adults enjoyed the Eaton's Christmas display, which Al worked on, sometimes manufacturing something out of nothing or even less. He also spent many enjoyable hours woodworking. Many of us have cherished pieces made with Dad's loving hands. A thank you to friends at Riverside Terrace and to the nurses at St. Paul's Hospital (Surgery Ward 5). FUCHS - Joseph Fuchs (1926 - 2010), our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the age of 83 following a brief illness. Bernice loved to spend time with her family and friends and was most happy to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. HENDERSON - Frederick William, May 21, 1954 - March 11, 2009. Fred passed away at his home on March 11th after a short but intense battle with pancreatic cancer. HUTCHINSON - Isabel May (nee Orr) born on April 16, 1915 passed away on August 21, 2005 at the Pasqua Hospital after a brief illness. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Clare, her parents Mary and Clairmont Orr and her brother Raymond Orr. HUTCHINSON - Jean (nee McLean) passed away peacefully at the Wascana Grace Hospice in Regina, SK on April 27, 2006. She is predeceased by her husband Art; parents Duncan and Lily; stepmother Olive; and twin infant sons. (Click here for full obituary) KLENK - Margaret Louise (nee Irwin) was born Aug 7, 1929 in Aylesbury to Agnes and Bryden Irwin. At the age of seven, her family moved to a farm south of Imperial. Margaret attended Shiloh School and Imperial High. After high school, she earned her teaching certificate and taught around Imperial. Margaret and Lawrence were married in Holdfast on Nov 8, 1950 and were happily married for 61 years. After teaching for a few years and starting her family she worked as a nurse�s aid at the Imperial Hospital for thirty years until her retirement. Her main focus and devotion has always been to her husband and family. She could usually be found tending the vegetables and flowers around her yard and in her greenhouse. She was an avid reader and loved the knowledge she gleaned from reading. She was very dedicated to her daily spiritual meditations and biblical readings. Margaret was a spirited, kind individual who would stop at nothing to help a friend or family member - always sharing and caring. She walked through life with grace and dignity and she valiantly stood up for her beliefs. She will be truly missed. Margaret passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 in Regina. McCUTCHEON - Helen Russell (nee Stewart) recently of Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask, passed away at the All Nations' Healing Hospital, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Elizabeth Stewart; and by her brothers, Ross and Willard. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Clark; daughter, Nancy Fraser (Wally) of Winnipeg; sons, John (Sandra) of Big River, and Allan (Elaine) of Melville; grandchildren, Graham Davison (Shannon) of Winnipeg, Trevor Davison of Vancouver, Jason McCutcheon (Raylene) of Penhold, Kayla McCutcheon of Saskatoon, and Jesse McCutcheon of Melville; great-grandchildren, Kiera and Rowan Davison of Winnipeg and Drayton McCutcheon of Penhold; brother, Rodge Stewart of Toronto; sister, Edna Forsyth (Keith) of Saskatoon; sisters-in-law, Marg Stewart of Toronto and Chris Stewart of Brewster, Ma; many nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Betty Barlow of Davidson. Helen was born on October 31, 1919, in Saskatoon, Sask, where she and her four siblings were raised. After attending Nutana Collegiate in Saskatoon, Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Butler Byers Insurance. On April 21st, 1945, Helen married William Clark McCutcheon, a newly ordained United Church minister. Their first calling was to Liberty, near the western shore of Last Mountain Lake. It was an exciting time to be in the community with war veterans returning, great optimism for the future, and starting a new married life and family. Helen was heavily involved in church activities, loved curling, and developed a lifelong passion for sailing. Helen and Clark built one of the first sailboats in Saskatchewan, with Helen sewing the original sails. In 1951, Helen and family moved to Radisson, and built their first cottage at Little Jumbo, near Loon Lake. Their third child was born while they lived in Radisson. In 1956, the north beckoned, and Helen and family moved to Meadow Lake, where Helen's love for nature and adventure blossomed. Helen loved her time spent at 'the lake', which soon became Greig Lake, in Meadow Lake Provincial Park. Helen and Clark were instrumental in starting a sailing club in Meadow Lake, and met many wonderful friends through their sailing experiences, and their time at the lake. Helen continued her busy life as a minister's wife, and was heavily involved in many church groups and activities. In 1964, Helen and Clark moved to Nipawinstill close to the lakes and trees of the north. Helen helped start a sailing camp at the United Church's Camp Tapawingo at Candle Lake. A small regret was not being able to join one of her teenage sons and his buds for a kayak trip down the Torch River, north of Nipawin but she was the designated drop off and pickup person. In 1972, Helen and Clark moved to Carnduff, where free from family responsibilities, Helen returned to the workforce. She thoroughly enjoyed working as a secretary for Sask Agriculture and for the local RM administrator, integral parts of small town prairie life, until retiring. After retirement, winters were divided between Carnduff and Victoria, BC, with most summers spent at Greig Lake, although over the years, Helen and Clark enjoyed trips with their children, and later, trips on their own to Europe and the Maritimes. Helen continued her lifelong love of music, which had included playing the piano, (sometimes the organ), helping organize `Jeunesses Musicales' concerts, and travelling from Carnduff to Brandon to attend concerts presented by the Winnipeg Symphony. She also loved the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 2005, Helen and Clark moved to Saskatoon, and lived at the Primrose Chateau, a seniors' complex. Their time in Saskatoon was followed by moves to the Balcarres Extended Care Home, and then to Echo Lodge in Fort Qu'Appelle. Helen always had a keen sense of humour, and it was a joy to see her laugh. She was most comfortable relaxing at the lake. She loved to keep abreast of politics and world eventsand her views were always tinged with a real sense of compassion for all the members of our 'global village'. She lived out her values of concern for others and for the planet by donating regularly to a long and varied list of cherished charities. Interment followed at Liberty Cemetery. NELSON - Verna Hazel (nee Shaw) of Regina passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 15, 2015 at the age of 86. Verna was born on August 17, 1928 in Brandon, Man., to Thomas and Anna Shaw. Her father was a market gardener who sold his produce in Brandon. The family farm also raised cattle, horses and chickens. Verna loved the farm life very much and in her early years, worked in the gardens and fields with her family. As a young woman, she worked for a number of years at various positions in Brandon as a bookkeeper, cashier and typist. She later moved to Regina and in 1959 she married William (Bill) Nelson of Stalwart and settled on the home quarter where they raised their family and continued to farm until their retirement to Moose Jaw in 1992. In her spare time, Verna liked to do liquid embroidery, gardening, keeping local history, reading and music. Bill and Verna also loved to attend dances throughout the area. Everyone knew Verna as a quiet and caring person who was always smiling. She also really enjoyed her visits with family and friends. In her later years she lived at the Ina Grafton Home in Moose Jaw and then at Princess Villa and Pioneer Village in Regina. Verna was predeceased by her husband William; parents Thomas and Anna Shaw; sisters Olive and Florence, and Jean (John) Halliday; brother Raymond (Edna); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jack and Grace Nelson and brother-in-law Robert Nelson. She leaves to mourn her son Howard (Cara) Nelson of Stalwart; daughter Shirley (Dean) Rae of Regina; grandchildren Max Nelson, Carter and Katrina Rae; sister-in-law Dolores Nelson of Regina as well as several nieces and nephews. NELSON - William George (March 2, 1926 - July 18,2008). The family of Bill Nelson is sad to announce his passing at Moose Jaw, SK. after a brief battle with cancer. He was born and raised on the family farm at Stalwart, SK. and attended Davenport School. OBRIGEWITSCH- Germaine M. (nee Vanthuyne). With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Germaine Obrigewitsch on October 8, 2009 at the Watrous Union Hospital following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. RIDDLE - Leonard Harry was born on May 12, 1919 and passed away on July 23, 2002. He is predeceased by his parents George Edward (1963) and Minnie Elizabeth (1988); his brother Fredrick (Helen) and by his wife Helen Irene (Nee Coburn) (1993). Leonard is survived by his children Leona (Luc) Lapointe of Petawawa, ON, Bruce (Chona) Riddle of Calgary, AB and Bryan (Nancy) Riddle of Bridgewater, N.S. and his grandchildren Jessica Riddle of Halifax, N.S., and Christopher and Alexander Lapointe of Petawawa, ON., plus numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was raised in Liberty, SK and was the first from his town to enlist for active duty at the beginning of the Second World War. After the war, he held a number of positions including advertising/insurance agent, sales clerk and bookkeeper, but his heart was in the military. In 1950, he rejoined the Air Force where he served at numerous bases until his retirement in 1968. He moved with his family to Big River, SK where he enjoyed his fishing. In his later years, he and his wife lived with their daughter, Leona. After the passing of his wife in 1993, he moved to Calgary where he lived with his son, Bruce, until he entered Colonel Betcher Hospital. ROBERTSON - Amelia Olga (nee Schumacher) August 20, 1909 � March 26, 2011. Amelia was the seventh living child born to Fred and Amelia (Yetcha) Schumacher in Kronau, South Russia on August 20, 1909. Her mother and a twin sister died at birth. Her father was left with five sons and two daughters to raise. In November of 1909, Fred married Rosa Stulberg. While still in Russia, they had one son. They immigrated to Canada arriving at Halifax, Nova Scotia in August of 1912 � Amelia being three years of age. They journeyed to Young, Saskatchewan to farm. There were eight more sons born making a total of 16 children in all. Amelia helped out at home looking after her younger siblings. At age 13 she went to work for people in their homes with the expectation that she give her earned money to her father and stepmother. At times she worked for just room and board. Eventually she was able to keep her hard earned money for herself. With her strong faith and determination she made a life for herself. On November 16, 1938 she married Clarence Robertson and they farmed eight miles west of Liberty. Amelia was happiest in the kitchen cooking and baking all sorts of wonderful things. She also loved her large garden. They raised chickens, turkeys, pigs, and cattle so their table was always filled with fresh or canned vegetables and meat. She made sure no one went hungry as she had in her younger days. Amelia milked cows, fed and slaughtered chickens, canned numerous amounts of food, helped in the field at harvest time, as well as taking meals to the fields and doing the chores. She sold eggs and cream to help bring in some extra income. Clarence and Amelia had two children: Keith, born October 16, 1941 and Irene, born December 26, 1945. In November of 1976, they moved into a new home in Liberty built by their then son-in-law, Wayne Pickering. Finally running water, flush toilets, automatic washer and dryer, dishwasher! In March of 2000 they moved to a house in Davidson to be closer to her daughter, Irene and husband Vic Krassman. At age 93 she and Clarence moved into the Davidson Health Centre where she remained until her death at over the age of 101 and a half years. Amelia loved visiting; also keeping in touch with her family. She rested easy when she knew everyone was all right. The simplest things in life were her greatest pleasures. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour and the kindness and compassion she showed everyone; as well as how she handled what was dealt to her with quiet dignity. She was truly a treasure. Amelia was predeceased by her mother and twin sister at birth; father and stepmother; one sister; fourteen brothers; and her husband, Clarence. Private Family Interment in Liberty Cemetery. Robert Donald Robertson was born on, May 31, 1923, at, Saskatoon, Sask., to Robert and Antoinette Robertson. He was the second of two sons. Don completed his grade twelve education at Luther College in Regina. He also attended the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Signal Corp in the armed forces in 1943. He was lance corporal with the Canadian Postal Corp in the North West Europe German occupation army. This took him overseas where he met, Joyce Holt, from, Manchester, England. After the Second World War, Don and Joyce were married on the farm at Liberty on, August 1st, 1948. They had two children, Bob and Elaine. Don enjoyed music and loved to play the piano with his friends in the Liberty Orchestra. Liberty Orchestra was a fixture in Liberty and played many gigs, as Don would say. The last gig being his granddaughter, Tamara`s wedding in 2007. Don worked diligently for the National Farmers Union. Miles of Saskatchewan roads were travelled, meetings attended and farmers visited. He worked alongside his friend, Elmer Laird, for the Back to the Farm Research Foundation. He was a member of The Liberty Optimist Club, The Masons and the Canadian Legion. He was a member of the United Church. Joyce passed away in 1967 and Don lived alone for 11 years until finding a wonderful friend and companion, Juliette Thorson, who also was widowed. Don and Julie were married in 1982. This greatly enlarged Don`s family as Julie brought seven adult children into the family, James, Richard, John, Mary, Lori, Thomas and Peter. The amazing thing about Don and Julie was that everyone was included. All grandchildren were mutually enjoyed and shared. The clan grew to thirty grandchildren and twenty-four plus great-grandchildren. Don and Julie shared great times together. When life got too busy watching the grandchildren, Don would say, it�s time that we got away! ` They would usually drive to the coast visiting relatives along the way. Julie passed away suddenly on, April 12th, 2004. Don has stayed busy helping his son, Bob, on the farm, gardening, with his children and grandchildren and playing music with his friends over the past nine years. He lived in his own home right up until this past Christmas. In January he moved to Long Lake Integrated Facility where he passed away on, April 17th. He courageously fought prostate cancer, macular degeneration in his eyes and heart issues over the past two years. He lived a rich, full life and he will be greatly missed. Donald was born at Penzance, SK on September 26, 1925. He was predeceased by his parents: John and Margaret Ruether and a sister in law Vera Ruether. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen, sons: Doug (Barb), Dwight and Drew (Judy); grandchildren: Shane, Tim, Bryan, Jaylin and Justine; brothers: Harvey and Gordon (Bev), and brothers in law: Vernon (Bernice) and Brian (Twyla). Donald completed his grade 12 in Penzance. In 1951 he moved to Liberty where Don run the Liberty Service Garage for 34 years. He also began farming in 1960 until retirement at age 65. Don and Eileen spent 21 winters in Arizona and travelled extensively. For friends so wishing memorials in memory of Donald may be made to The Long Lake Valley Health Foundation. At Don's request no funeral will be held. A family graveside service will be held at a later date. SCHMIDT - Rose Margaret Schmidt (nee Koch) died on April 3, 2001 at Sunnyside Nursing Home. She is survived by her children; son Cecil (Muriel) Schmidt of Vernon, B.C., daughter Marlene Burns of Kamloops, B.C. and son Ron (Loretta) Schmidt of Saskatoon; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister Othelia "Tiny" Lumley of Regina, brother Gus (Heather) Koch of Regina, sisters-in-law Julia and Mary Schmidt of Regina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was born on May 11, 1914 in Balgonie, SK. She and Frank were married in the pool hall in Dilke, SK. in 1933 and later lived in Liberty and Young, SK. before moving to Saskatoon in 1951. Mom worked at a number of jobs before she completed her working career as a house mother at the nurses residence of St. Paul's Hospital. Mom and Dad enjoyed their retirement, going to many seniors' dances, playing cards, and visiting with their special group of friends and relatives. Mom also loved to bake, garden and bowl, and to help Dad with his crafts. Mom was the eyes and Dad was the memory of their very special team. They were very good together. We extend a special thanks to all the staff at Sunnyside Nursing Home for the great care that they gave Mom these last years. Verona lived her entire life in Saskatchewan. Born in Cupar in 1916 to William and Rose Anna Francis. She lost her birth mother at age 5 and was raised by her father and stepmother, Mary. In 1934 Verona and Clyde, or Dewey and Buster, as they were known to their friends, were married and farmed just outside of Bulyea. The hard times of the 40�s forced them to sell the farm. Clyde found employment with the Sask. Wheat Pool and the family moved to Amazon in 1948, then to Liberty in 1952. After the death of her husband, Verona remained and worked in Liberty at the Co-op store and later at the Liberty Hotel.Verona�s home in Liberty became the gathering place once or twice a year for the whole family to get together and enjoy good food and catch up on each other�s lives. In 1997 Verona moved to Watrous where she lived until her move in 2009 to the Strasbourg Last Mountain Pioneer Home, her final home. Verona was an avid curler in her younger days and still enjoyed watching curling and major league baseball on her TV in later years. She loved bingo and the casino and took in all the local events she was able to attend Verona will be sorely missed by her friends and family. Ross passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at Saskatoon City Hospital. He will be sadly missed by Myrtle, his wife of 59 years; son, Marvin (Teresa) and daughter, Shirley (Dr. Richard) Twanow; grandchildren, Dr. JaimeDawn Twanow (Jesse Heath), Casey Twanow (Justin Olenik), Laine Twanow (Van Miller), Graeme Twanow, James Strachan (Janine Brown) and Stefanie Strachan. Ross was born in Toronto and moved to Liberty, SK with his parents and brothers, Frank, George and Bill in 1918. He enlisted in 1943 and was assigned to the Military Police in the R.C.A.F. until 1946. He was a proud 60 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ross farmed near Liberty until 1960 when he moved to Saskatoon with his wife and children. He retired from the Maintenance and Security Dept. at the University Hospital in 1980. Ross loved to travel and was an avid puzzle solver. He taught his granddaughters to dance and his grandsons to fish. The cabin he built on Long Lake was enjoyed by family and friends for 20 years. The death of Mrs. Marian Ethel Stratton aged 84 years of Imperial SK and formerly of Liberty SK occurred at the Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility in Imperial on Wednesday December 1, 2004. TANNAHILL - Elfrieda Hermina. The death of Elfrieda Hermina (Frieda) Tannahill aged 93 years of Liberty, SK occurred at the Watrous Hospital Watrous, SK on Friday July 18, 2003. The Funeral Service will be held in Fotheringham's Funeral Chapel Watrous, SK on Tuesday July 22nd at 10:00 a.m. interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery. WALKER - Hector age 97, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2004 at Santa Maria Seniors Home in Regina, SK. He was born on August 1, 1907 in the Ingleside District in Saskatchewan. He took his early schooling in Harrowby, MB. At age 22, he started buying grain for a line company and for the following 35 years, worked in various places in SK and MB. He was in the army for three years and served in World War II with an Anti Tank Regiment from the 8th of June 1944 until the end of the war. Hector was predeceased by three sisters; Jean, Gladys and Daisy, and one brother, Harvey, his son Lyndon in 1993 and his loving wife, Golda, in 1996. He leaves to mourn and will be sadly missed by his daughter Bonita (Al) Pollock of Sherwood Park, AB, his son Terry of Tumbler Ridge, BC, his grandchildren Brent (Kathy) Pollock and Wendy (Michael) Bernas, and great grandchildren Darrian and Reis Pollock, all from Sherwood Park, AB. Cremation has taken place and as per his request, no funeral service will be held. Internment will happen at a later date in Liberty, SK. She has left to join her husband Gordon and other family members in the kingdom of happiness. Dorothy left on her journey: October 17, 2000. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her daughter, Joyce Laraine Bloor and husband Bruce, her pride and joy, all her grandchildren, Theresa Johnston, husband Doug in Whitehorse, Yukon, Leonard Francis wife Lisa, in Calgary, Alberta, Gordon Francis wife Evett in Kelowna, British Columbia, Judith Gehring and husband Dale in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Dorothy leaves behind her great grandchildren that she treasured so much, Ashley, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Mathew, Jessica, Jeremy, Brittney, Dalton. Dorothy will see her parents Arthur and Ethel (Robertson) King, brother Milton, sister Gertrude and all the others whom knew and loved her that went on ahead. Dorothy and Gordon had 45 wonderful years together, now they will be together forever. Dorothy moved to Regina with her family in 1918. Then to Liberty, Saskatchewan where they farmed until 1928. The family moved back to Regina in 1928. Dorothy attended Balfour Tech. And later received her fifty year pin given out by the high school. She worked as a housekeeper in 1929 when jobs were hard to find. In 1950 she worked as a Nurses Aid at the General Hospital. In 1952 Dorothy worked for the Government of Saskatchewan, at the Department of Agriculture, in the Animal Division, around the time when Saskatchewan had an outbreak of Hoof and Mouth Disease, when many thousands of cattle had to be destroyed. It was a job she never forgot as she enjoyed animals and hated to see then put down. From 1961 to 1978 Dorothy enjoyed fancywork and made many gifts for her family. She joined the Bronco Club in 1944 and was a member until 1980. Dorothy joined the Diesel Gypsies C.B. with Gordon and was a member for many years. She loved to watch her favorite soap operas on T.V. She enjoyed the many camping and travelling trips around the country. Many a story she could tell about the camping as she had to cope with all kinds of surprises and animals. But most of all Dorothy enjoyed her life with her husband and family who will all miss her but never forget her. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for all the care and love Dorothy received. Care above and beyond the call of duty from Dr. V. WHEATLEY - Margaret Lillian (nee Drake) aged 89 years, of Liberty, Sask. passed away at Long Lake Valley Integrated Facility, Imperial, Sask. on Sunday, March 15, 1998. Funeral service was held from Bethel United Church, Liberty on Wednesday, March 18th conducted by Rev. Elaine McLaughlin. Interment followed in Liberty Cemetery. Jeanine Vanthuyne was the organist. Margaret Lillian Wheatley was born September 15, 1908 in Waterside, P.E.I. in 1908 to John Richard and Susanna Jane Drake. She came to Kedleston with her parents as a young girl and finished her high school and normal school training in Regina going on to teach in various schools including Penzance and Liberty. She met her husband Bill of Liberty and were married in 1931. They continued to live and farm in the district all their lives. Margaret was active in the UCW ladies organization, she enjoyed travelling and her garden. Predeceased by her husband Bill in 1986; parents John and Susanna Drake; brother Russell and sister Mary Drake. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. WILLE - Isabel Lucille (nee Stewart). We, her family, announce the passing of Lucille Wille age 89, on June 21, 2014. Born September 10, 1924, Mom lived her entire life in the Liberty community, on the farm & in town. Her passions included gardening, travelling, knitting, crochet, crosswords & most important to her was cooking, baking & canning for her family. Lucille leaves to mourn her 4 children: Margaret (Edward), Calvin (Marion), Craig (Elaine), & Brenda (Mark); 9 grandchildren: Rhonda (Michael), Catherine (Behrooz), Shaun (Pam), Kim (Brian), Kevin, Larrin (Misty), Nathan, Max (Jackie), Myra (Mason); 9 great grandchildren: Kate, Malcolm, Wyatt, Tyler, Kayson, Ethan, Daniel, Colton, Keaton & a 10th one due next month; one sister Ruby & numerous nieces & nephews. At Mom's request, there will be a private family graveside celebration of her life. Rest in Peace Mom. WOEPPEL - Donald Gordon (November 21, 1941 - September 17, 2011). It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Don Woeppel. Don passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the U of A hospital due to complications from myelofibrosis. Don was loved by many and is survivied by his loving fiance Ann McBain; daughter Patti (Berland) Hammond; son Paul (Susan)Woeppel; grandchildren Brok, Bronte, and Brolin; Amy, Jessica, and Eric; step grandchildren Thomas and William; Ann's son Joe (Tammy) Gladue; their children Cortni, Sheree, Haiden, and Brodie; cousins and friends he all held dear. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Cinnamon who was always by his side. Don was born and raised on the farm in Liberty, Sask. and obtained his Mechanical Engineering degree from the U of S in 1964. He worked in sales for General Electric in Cobourg, Peterborough, Toronto, Regina and Edmonton until 1980, and then as an Investment Advisor for Investors Group in Edmonton until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed the company of clients and colleagues alike. He loved the farm and continued to help with harvest every year. He retired to his home at Pigeon Lake where he could pursue his passions of fishing, hunting and inventing projects. His passion for deep sea fishing was enjoyed every winter in Cabo San Lucas. He is predeceased by his daughter Sheryl Klinzman, mother Daisy Rowe, father Maurice Woeppel, and step-father Floyd Rowe. Don was a postive, fun loving person that will be dearly missed by all.We love you Don/Dad/Grandpa. A daughter & son in infancy & a granddaughter in infancy: sons-in-law DuWayne Hart, John Fink & Dennis Kuemper. Emil was born in Irving Alberta; the family moved to Liberty, Sask. in 1922. In 1934 they moved to the farm east of Davidson. He received his education at the Rose Hill Country School. In 1941 he enlisted & served during World War II in the United Kingdom. On October 12th, 1944 he married his Scottish lass in Edinburgh, Scotland. Emil returned to Canada in September of 1945 and Betty joined him in March of 1946. He worked for several farmers until 1950, when he became employed as janitor for the Davidson School. After six years with the school he worked for Hodgins Dray Service until his employment with the Town of Davidson in 1958 as Utility Man. During his years with the town, he saw many changes & improvements. The installation of water & sewer was one of many that he was involved with. Emil retired in 1978 to pursue his hobbies, fishing, hunting, woodworking in his shop, gardening & coaching major league hockey and baseball from the comfort of his armchair. Emil's greatest joy was his family. He taught some how to fish & hunt, & some how to use a saw. His gardening skills were passed on to all. Water/water/water: we miss you.
