INTOXICATED COW LEADS TO A BOOZE STILL NEAR PICTOU

A cow that became separated from the herd of a farmer in the Central Cariboo district, near Pictou, wandered afield and when she failed to return with the rest of the herd was found later inebriated and crazed with moonshine. The condition of the cow lead to an investigation by farmers of the district with the result that a complete moonshine outfit, still and all, was discovered in the woods hidden by the thicket and located close by a stream.

Chief of Police Morrison, Pictou, motored to Central Cariboo. He was given the location of the illicit plant and succeeded in capturing the owner and the complete plant, mash and several bottles of manufactured liquor.
