Black Clines

African American
Clines

These African Americans adopted the Cline surname and resided in the Catawba and Lincoln County areas of North Carolina.  A direct link to our Cline ancestors has not been established.  Their listing on this site is based on the assumption that there was a "slave connection" in their lineage that connects/interacts with the descendents of Sebastian Klein.  All individuals are "Black" unless otherwise indicated as "Mulatto".  The use of a (?) indicates the name or letter on the census was difficult to interpret.
