He married, before September 1342, Joan, daughter of Sir Bartholomew DE BURGHERSH [LORD BURGHERSH], by Elizabeth, daughter and coheir of Theobald DE VERDON [LORD VERDON]. To her he gave licence to make her will. He died s.p.m., 15 September 1375. After his death his widow lived much at Court, and had many grants for her good services to the King and Queen. By arrangements made in 1369, she had acquired the virtual ownership of the nucleus of the Mohun estate in West Somerset, and in 1376 she sold the reversion of it to Dame Elizabeth Luttrell, to the disinherison of her own heirs. She died 4 October 1404, and was buried in Canterbury Cathedral. [Complete Peerage IX:23-5, XIV:479, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
