William la Zouche, 1st Lord (Baron) (la) Zouche (of Haryngworth), so created by writ of summons to Parliament 16 Aug 1308-14 Feb 1347/8 first as Lord (Baron) la Zouche, later as Lord (Baron) la Zouche of Haryngworth; b. 18 or 21 Dec 1276; knighted 1306, did military service against the Scots 1301-33 and in Ireland 1317 and 1332, also in Gascony 1324-25; m. by 15 Feb 1295/6 Maud (b. c 1280; d. by 1346), daughter of 1st Lord (Baron) Lovel (of Titchmarsh), and d. 11/12 March 1351/2.
