Daniel married Ellen Jane Newham, daughter of Thomas Newham and Ellen Cinnomon Hammond, in 1891 in New South Wales. (Ellen Jane Newham was born in 1867 and died in 1922 in Paddington, Cumberland County, New South Wales, Australia.)
