Noted events in her life were: • She worked as a Dairy maid before 1844 in Ireland. 2 • She immigrated in 1844 to New South Wales. 2 • Living at on the goldfields, Bendigo, , Victoria in From 1844 to 1842. 2 • She worked as a Landholder in 1872 in Bigga, Georgiana County, New South Wales. 3 Ellen married Thomas Hammond, son of Thomas Hammond and Sarah Thurtell, on 29 Jul 1834 in Aghleee, County Antrim, Ireland. (Thomas Hammond was born about 1805 in Moira, Antrim, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, died on 2 May 1859 in Bigga, Georgiana County, New South Wales and was buried on 5 May 1859 in Lachlan River, Monteagle County, New South Wales.) The cause of his death was Disease of brain. Marriage Notes: Mary aged 16 |
